Jonathan Lambert-Melton is an at-large member of the Raleigh City Council. He was first elected to the council in 2019 and is a candidate for an at-large seat on the Wake County Board of Commissioners in the 2026 election.[1][2]
Raleigh City Council
editMelton was elected to an at-large seat on the Raleigh City Council in the October 2019 municipal election. He has since been reelected and has served continuously since December 2019.[3]
2026 Wake County Board of Commissioners candidacy
editIn 2025, Melton announced his candidacy for one of the at-large seats on the Wake County Board of Commissioners in the 2026 election.[4][5]
Biography
editMelton moved to Raleigh in 2004 to attend North Carolina State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 2008. He later attended the North Carolina Central University School of Law and received a Juris Doctor degree in 2011.[6]
Melton is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in family law. He is a partner at the law firm Gailor Hunt Davis Taylor & Gibbs, PLLC, where he has practiced family law since 2011.[7]
